Radio Shack has released a list of stores they plan to close as part of their bankruptcy reorganization. The Porter Square and Harvard Square stores are listed in the "third tranche", meaning that their going-out-of-business sale will end by March 31.
The CambridgeSide Galleria and Meadow Glen Mall stores are listed in the "second tranche", meaning that they will close by February 28.
Overall, they're closing 43 of their 106 Massachusetts stores. The Central Square and Fresh Pond stores aren't listed, so they're staying open--for now, anyway.
(The three "tranches" are defined in this document.)

Date: 2015-02-09 07:58 am (UTC)I suspect that there just wasn't anything good to begin with. After all, it's Radio Shack. I've never been so consistently disappointed by a store in my life. With most stores that specialize in a particular thing (electronics in their case) you have at least decent odds of walking out of the store with what you went in to get. For me, RS was a failure at least 80% of the time, and that's including after I finally came to the conclusion that they rarely had what I wanted in stock, and still went there because, other than ordering online or mailorder, there were no other options.
