Tomorrow's 'limited' MBTA service
Feb. 15th, 2015 09:40 pmaccording to the MBTA web site, they will run the following services tomorrow:
- Red Line: between Alewife and Andrew
- Green Line: between Lechmere and Kenmore, plus the E branch as far as Symphony
- Orange Line: between North Station and Back Bay
- Blue Line: between Bowdoin and Airport
"Limited" shuttle bus service will substitute for most parts of the rail lines that are not running trains (but it looks like no bus service at all on the B branch beyond Packard's Corner)
Buses and commuter trains will run a Saturday schedule, since it is the President's Day holiday.

Date: 2015-02-16 03:18 pm (UTC)I was luckier on the way back with just a 5 minute wait.
The trains were busy but not packed (all seats taken, a few standees).

Date: 2015-02-16 10:36 pm (UTC)Of course it's best if buses run on time. But some problems today are understandable. It makes it much less worse when you check real-time predictions.

Date: 2015-02-16 10:47 pm (UTC)Again, I would mind *less* if they did this if they would give us notice so we aren't just waiting for a bus that never comes; it renders this bus useless for planning. Honestly, I think it should be illegal to advertise a bus is going to be there and then not post it anywhere for folks to check in to see if it is still running as soon as possible if that information was, or could have been, available beforehand. I know they are struggling with money, but to simply not run a route with no notice whatsoever, especially in this weather? Oy.
