davis_squareSomerville Open Studios are this weekend! Nearly 400 local artists will display their works at 108 locations throughout the city.
All studios will be open Saturday+Sunday, May 2+3, from noon to 6 pm. Some artists will also be open on Friday evening, May 1, from 6 to 9 pm.
You can find our printed mapbooks at stands all over Somerville, or visit SomervilleOpenStudios.org for online maps and a full list of participating artists.
Not sure where to begin? Visit our Artists' Choice group show first, at the Somerville Museum, One Westwood Road. We invited each SOS artist to submit one work of art to this show, so it's a good place to survey the many different kinds of art being shown this weekend. The Artists' Choice show will be open Thursday 2-7 pm, Friday 2-9 pm, Saturday and Sunday 11 am to 6 pm.
The Inside-OUT Gallery, in the windows of the Davis Square CVS, is exhibiting work by 14 artists who are participating in SOS for the first time this year. We'll have a Sidewalk Reception outside the CVS windows this evening from 5:30 to 7 pm.
If you are participating in SOS, or you have a favorite artist you'd like to tell everyone to visit, please leave comments here!
