My partner's car was finally returned from his mechanic after almost two years off the road. It's filthy, and he's trying to find a car wash that actually scrubs with rags rather than just spraying the car with jets of water.
Can anyone recommend a scrubbing car wash in the area?

You'll leave it with them for an hour or so and they'll clean and polish it inside and out. I know that Very Serious Car People have strong preferences about which place does the Very Best detail service, but if you're just looking for "My filthy car needs a good serious cleaning" any place can do that just fine and it'll look great.
Or if you'd rather save fifty bucks, go to one of the self-serve bays and DIY. Bring some of your own rags to supplement the brush from the self-service bay. It'll help if you do it on a weekday instead of a sunny weekend day - that way there's less of a line).
