It's an odd-numbered year, so we're having a municipal election on Tuesday, November 3. Except in Ward 6 (Davis, Powderhouse, and part of Ball Square), it's going to be very quiet, as there are very few contested seats. Nobody is running against Mayor Joe Curtatone or against any of the other ward aldermen.
Ward 6 Alderman (incumbent Rebekah Gewirtz is not running for re-election):
- Charles Chisholm
- Lance Davis (also on Facebook)
- David Lieberman (also on Facebook)
- Elizabeth Weinbloom
Ward 6 will have a primary election on Thursday, September 17, in order to reduce the field of candidates to two. This will be the city's only primary election. The election is on Thursday to avoid the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, which partially overlap the previous and following Tuesdays.
