Family Dollar closing on Somerville Ave (not Davis Square)

The Family Dollar on Somerville Avenue, near Conway Park, has a STORE CLOSING banner hanging outside. As far as I know, our Family Dollar in Davis Square is staying open.

The few times I've gone there, the Somerville Ave. store seemed less cluttered, better organized, and friendlier than the Davis store.

Here's the scoop on the changes of the stores. All the ones listed at the bottom of this article will become Dollar Express stores, which no one quite knows what is yet. None of those are Somerville stores, though the on in Cambridge will change.

Looks like they've taken down that page and replaced it with one that just says "This webpage is not available"

Also, isn't Dollar General a separate and unrelated chain (that we don't have in the Boston area)?
