cheap paint supplies

i want to try painting, just for fun.  where can i buy cheap supplies (acrylics, wood/canvas/materials to paint on, brushes)?  i know of pearl art, would that be the best option?

Strangely, Costco often has a very good deal on a set of easel, paints, canvas, etc. A whole set there is $50 and includes an easel that Pearl and the art store across the street from Pearl carries for $90-$150 for just the easel. Otherwise, Pearl or the place across the street from it are probably your best bets. They have some reasonable starter kits.
