Democracy is dead

To whomever tore down our advertisements for Charles Chisholm's party and replaced it with Lance Davis's advertising for a party last night. This is not how democracy works. There is nothing "progressive" about what you did. You deprived the elderly of pastries and coffee and the chance to hear an alternative voice in the name of your chosen candidate. I hope you feel good about yourselves.

This is what happens when you promote and us against them system, like democracy. When you pit one group's ideals and needs against other's ideals and needs in a competitive atmosphere, you naturally create conflict. This IS democracy at work here.

If you want something better, look to respect and value and serve your "opponent's" goals as well as your own. Look for shared ideals. What do you most want to be able to get and do in life? What do they most want to get and do in life? Seek to move things towards a world where we can combine our resources to get to a place that works well for all of us. That's what exists beyond democracy...

Do you have any comment on the anonymous fliers distributed door to door attacking Lance Davis on the basis of his contributors, as shown here (i.imgur.com/fKm4kGI.jpg)? In particular, did the Chisholm campaign distribute them, and if so why was the candidate's name not attached to the flier?
