Anyone looking to adopt a cat?

This moving saga is getting.. complicated. The part of most immediate concern is that I can't take my cat with me when I move (badly allergic person at destination), and both my primary and backup plans for finding her a new home have failed. And so I'm offering her to you:

Shelby is a spayed female tortoiseshell, about 12yrs old, who has always been an indoor cat. She takes about a week to warm up to new people and/or new places, but after that she's a sweetheart. She prefers to be a lap-cat, but if you're too busy to pay attention to her she'll often curl up next to you anyhow. Her previous owner had four cats & two dogs (all in a two-room apartment!), and I suspect she's a bit lonely with only a couple of humans to keep her company.





I'm looking for someone who's willing to adopt her, or perhaps board her for 4-6mo while DH and I sort out independent housing at our destination. We can supply all of her care items, as well as our current stock of food & litter. We'll be renting a van for move-related errands and can deliver if needed.

Awww she's a beauty! Best of luck finding a home for her. I have one cat who is too nervous (living with PTSD) to be able to cope well with another.

Maybe you should move where you CAN take your 12 year old cat. If she were a child, would you be farming her out to anyone 'interested'? Geez.
