Stop by the Davis Sq T station on Friday, Feb 12th from 3:30-7:30 to buy Girl Scout cookies!

The T Station booths are arranged by the Girl Scout council.  Very often, the troops selling in Davis Sq are not from the area, but on Friday, Feb 12th, you can buy cookies from genuine Somerville Scouts!    $5/box.  Thin Mints are better than roses on Valentine's Day!

Thanks to everyone that stopped by our booth. We were sold out by 6pm! If you missed your chance to buy cookies, there will be another Somerville troop selling them at the Porter Sq Shaws on Sunday, March 6th from 1-3pm.

Can't tell you how disappointed I was! Looked forward to this all day. Rushed up the escalator, ready to buy. No girl scouts and no cookies. Did you sell many more than usual, more quickly, or did you just have a smaller supply that needed?

oh no! We ordered what the Girl Scout Council suggested for a 4 hr booth, but sold out in 2 1/2 hours. This was our Troop's first time at the Davis Sq T station, so we didn't know how good sales would be. We know now that Davis Square loves Girl Scout cookies!

How are prices determined? A friend of mine who is selling says the boxes are $4 except for one type that is GF which are $5. Is there a lot of variability?

The prices are set by the Girl Scout council. There are some regional variations in prices. In Eastern Mass they raised the price to $5/box this year. They were $4/box for the last eight years (gluten free were $5/box last year)

Since I'm talking cookies, people might find it interesting that there are two different bakeries that make Girl Scout Cookies. The Girl Scout Council has a trademark on the name Thin Mints, so both bakeries make those, but some of the cookie names like 'Samoas' are trademarked by one bakery. That is why some of the cookies have different names in different states.
