Printers

Sorry, for two posts in one day, what can I say, I'm needy! I need to get about 60 save-the-date cards printed up and I was wondering if someone has a local recommendation other than the obvious untrained monkeys at Kinkos (sorry to knock you if you work @ kinkos). Preferably I need a place with post-script printers, and mac-friendly would be a major plus! Danke!!

I've recently discovered Sir Speedy in Cambridge (1001 Mass Ave). I don't know about the printers, but they're great!

I don't work there, but I did have a GREAT experience with the evening shift guys in the copy shop at Kinko's in Harvard Square... that's the downstairs part... the guys UPstairs were untrained monkeys. But seriously, the downstairs guys were awesome, even figuring out how to print a very very problematic PDF that would give an error every three pages of printing.

My roommate is a former Kinko's manager; he's a professional photographer and has a master's degree in philosophy. Not -everyone- at Kinko's is incompetent. :)

I had a really great experience at Gnomon Copy in Porter Square -- around the corner from Dunkin, downstairs. It was just one guy and a couple of low-feature machines, but he was able to do a booklet of folded 8.5x11 pages, stapled on the spine with a green cover page, and was able to do it in a couple hours which was good because I was doing this last-minute (would have been done in 1 hour if the first machine hadn't broke, requiring using the slower machine). Oh, and the price was totally reasonable -- unlike the Kinkos I went to recently (who could print a sample on the spot but somehow the order of 55 copies had to be picked up the next day)! So they probably don't have any computers there to do any fancy printing from computer; looked like just some really old machines. But you could find out.
