Date: 2005-08-23 06:00 pm (UTC)Wouldn't it be fairer, and more accurate, to call it "davis Square, Somerville?" I've never heard the term Cambridge-Davis used, ever.

It is the navigation system for your [or *somebody's*] social life and it's absolutely free."
In other words, I don't know.

Date: 2005-08-23 08:37 pm (UTC)what's the point of plazes...
Date: 2005-08-23 08:33 pm (UTC)Now you and your trusty laptop head out down the street (or town, or country) and fire it up. You automagically see both the networks *and* the (cool and technologically progressive) peeps that are attached. You strike up conversations, find that person (sitting beside you) who is also interested in pythons (or Python), etc. Friendships are made, businesses are formed, romances blossom and the world is generally a better place and we all have a group hug.
Or something like that.
