Music: duet partner for cellist

I'm a beginner/intermediate adult learner cellist looking for someone with whom to play music. My tastes run toward the 20th century (jazz, tango, modern) but I'm also happy to play the classics.

I have no preconceived notion of what instrument you should play, but it's easiest to find sheet music if you play violin, cello, or piano.

My ambitions are modest. I'd look to rehearse about once a week, mostly just to play for the fun of it. Open mic performances are an option if we turn out to be good.

I'm a singer, baritone, and I think there must be songs with cello accompaniment. I love the sound of the cello, and I love 20th century music. I've been singing a lot of Poulenc lately...

Just curious, how long have you been learning? I think I've been at it for five years now... I'm not sure anymore.

Also, I took a peek at your eljay. I'm jealous of your Japan adventures. I was there earlier this month. :D

That could be fun. I played the viola and piano as a kid/teen, and have been thinking it would be cool to pick one or both of them up again. I suspect I could fairly quickly get back to advanced beginner level, especially with the help of some outside motivation.

And, wow, I really need a better default icon. That one's great for when I'm making friends-locked posts and replying to friends, but really kind of gives the wrong impression when replying to strangers' posts or posting on a community!

It's a carbon fiber cello created by a BSO cellist. It sounds awesome, projects like crazy, and is nearly indestructible to boot.
