Golden Delight closure

Anyone know what's going on with Golden Delight on College Ave? The sign says they're closed for renovations, but I'm pretty sure they just renovated about a year ago. Also, it's kind of depressing to see this going down along with Deli-cious. Oat Shop is the lone bright spot (although they really should open earlier; I feel like they're missing a lot of potential customers by opening at 7am).

No updated info about this renovation but seconding your depressing feeling. It does seem a little eerie that both closed down around the same time. It does make me wonder if something weird happened in the building as a whole that caused them both to shut down around the same time...?

Don't have info on Golden Delight but Deli-cious was bought by some of the folks involved in Boston Burger and is looking to reopen with a somewhat similar (deli) concept. I believe the Licensing Commission application had "Mortadella Head" as the business name.

Well, I suppose it's no worse than "Deli-icious" as a name.

I just hope they bring back some of the local favorites such as the Honeycomb Hideout and the Burning Love.

I believe it will be a Thai restaurant replacing Golden Light, not sure about the timeline for that though.

Just checked the Licensing Commission minutes -- sounds like it's going to be called Kor Tor Mor.

I also see that Zaytouna Cafe (next to New Yummy Hut) is becoming Jerusalem Falafel and Shawarma, and the On the Hill Tavern in Magoun Square is becoming The Dark Horse Public House.
