NOCA Provisions is a brand-new cafe on Rindge Avenue, at the intersection with Cedar, Rice, and Middlesex streets. It's run by the folks from Season to Taste Catering. Check it out for a change of pace from your usual Davis Square routine.

They've done an amazing job of making that space really beautiful. I've been in twice and they've already been tweaking things like the pastries in response to customer suggestions. Looking forward to walking there on a nice day and trying their sunny side up eggs.

The part where they're finally open. I live very near there, but it's not on my usual path to anything, so I hadn't been by since they opened. Whenever that was. And have deeply been missing having a local cafe, in an admittedly abstract sort of way, because my present life does not permit me much hanging out in cafes nor mouch in the way of tasty, tasty caffeinated beverages. But still, DO WANT VERY MUCH.

Monday was their official opening day (and I was there at 7 am), but they had a preview opening for neighbors the day before (which I didn't know about until surrealestate mentioned it on Facebook)

We found out about the neighbor open house because it *is* on our usual path and they had a sign on the door. :)

Now we just need to get them a small stage, a booking agent, and a liquor license.
