on the hunt for halloween accessories

does anyone know where i can get a fake syringe? fake as in "this looks real but isn't" or "there is no way anyone would think this is an actual syringe". i'm going to a halloween party dressed as a serial killer (because they look like everyone else :D ) and kind of want to bring a tool of the trade. i'd probably fill it with water tinted blue or something.

(my other option is to bring a cereal box for the pun of it.)

A kids’ doctor kit? They usually have toy syringes.

...that never occurred to me. >.< altho i just needed the syringe, not the whole kit.

You can get a plastic widget with a plunger, ml measuring marks on the main tube, and a chunky plastic tip at most drugstores -- they're intended for things like measuring liquid medicines & administering them orally to kids. (For that matter, I have one I can give you if that's convenient.)

This is what I was going to suggest, or something very similar. The ones I'm thinking of get used to irrigate wounds.

Yes. Go to the prescription counter at CVS or RiteAid and ask for an oral syringe.

the closest thing i could find looked more like a very small turkey baster. i ended up with a thing intended for flushing earwax out of your ears, because it had a plunger in the tube and i could stick a toothpick in the needle end to keep it from leaking everywhere.

I've got a few actual 3ml syringes that I could probably pull the needle out of. :-P (But maybe I should give those to someone who needs actual syringes...)
