That was deeply, deeply creepy (the situation, not his heatbreaking article).

And because they didn't post signs to the unlocked door.

And because there wasn't a guard stationed at the locked door.

And because the 911 dispatcher didn't give the hospital all the information she told them.

And because the cellphone locating system is antiquated.

And because the nurse didn't step a few feet further to look more.

The whole thing is horrible, and just suggests a kind of systemic slovenliness. It took a hell of a lot of things going wrong or being half assed to kill that poor woman.
