Following on yesterday's thread about Pemberton Farms (https://davis-square.dreamwidth.org/3684489.html), last night I sent a quick email thanking them for having a door-holder and requesting that the door-holder stand on the outside of the door to allow more space.

I got a nice reply back thanking me for my input and saying that he would immediately talk to the current door-holder about allowing more space. It sounds like there might be some logistical challenges in exactly where the person stands, but I'm glad that they are working on it actively.

They also said that they are working on instituting one-way aisles to the extent that it is possible, which sounds great to me.

Stay safe, everyone!

All these little small grocery stores, it's hard for me to imagine how they could truly set up for social distancing just given their physical layouts -- they tend to be very bottleneck-y. Though one-way lanes would help.

Assuming customers actually follow it. Star Market put in one-way signs in most of the store a good while ago, and they're well-done IMO: pretty comprehensive and clear. A good quarter of the customers ignore them anyway.

People are a problem...
