Does anyone know where to buy argan oil in the area? I see a lot of places to buy it for skin care, but am not sure about cooking with that. I don't have a car, so can only reasonably get to places on the red line. I'm ready to order online if it comes to that, but not sure where to do that either, at least besides Amazon (which I'm trying to avoid).

Also, I only just discovered this community (and excitedly made an account for, since I very much prefer this over reddit!), so apologies if I missed any posting guidelines!

Update: I finally got the chance to visit them, sadly they do not have any argan oil. Thanks again for the suggestion though :-)

The only thing I have to add is that Wikipedia notes that the production of argan oil for culinary purposes involves gently roasting the kernels, and that this is avoided when making it for cosmetic purposes since it imparts a nutty smell.

(I suspect there is also a greater chance of fraud (adulteration) with argan oil sold for cosmetic purposes.)

I think I bought argan oil at Cambridge Naturals a year or two ago. They're in Porter Square, the big shopping plaza with the CVS and the Shaws.

I think this was sold for skin-care purposes, not culinary.

Looking at their online site, they still have argan oil, but like you said it's for skin-care purposes :-( Thank you though!
