For smaller donations, there's a "Little Free Pantry" (basically a Little Free Library, but for non-perishable packaged food) alongside the community path, a short ways from Davis Square heading towards Cedar Street (on the left-hand side if you're going in that direction).
FWIW, I don't think I've seen a community fridge without a pantry attached for packaged food, but that Little Free Pantry sounds like a worthwhile resource. makes a note of it

Any food can go in the fridge, not just ready-to-eat.
