I don't know whether to look at it as hooray-McDonald's-is-supporting-an-organic-business or Green-Mountain-has-sold-its-soul, but I'm trying to think of it as the former...

If you want to encourage organic fair trade coffee at McDonald's, go by the Mickey D's in Davis Square (or anywhere) for a free cup of the new Green Mountain/Newman's Own Organics coffee between now and November 23...

you know what's a shame? i tried a cup of their new coffee right after they switched over, and it still tastes like butt. blecch. :)

Because they're still leaving it on a burner, I believe (have not tried it, but peeked in). Store 24 serves Green Mountain coffee and keeps it in airpots. It's actually really good. Definitely the best cheap coffee option in the Sq, in my opinion.

I agree with gfnesselrode, Green Mountain coffee is quite good with the proper equipment. Which MickeyD's certainly does not have.

I will continue to get coffee at brueggers and reward a company for going fair trade far far earlier. Plus, you know, it's much more convenient for me :)

If you want to reward a company for going fair trade first, go to Diesel. I believe that all of their coffee is fair trade and roasted by Intelligentsia.
