...and it's a sign of the times when some things, such as advertisements, never change. I just checked out this community's archive of the first two months of posts, and of course someone posted an un-cut ad as post #10. I felt like sharing.

Switching subjects, where's the best place to go sledding around here?

The rule about posting was not orginally part of the community. As the volume of ads grew, the rule evolved. That part of this post really belongs in [livejournal.com profile] davis_meta, and if you want to discuss the matter further with me, I would suggest posting it there.

On the other hand, sledding would be fun. I haven't been sledding in many many years, and would like to know where to go this winter as well.

Go sledding at Tufts! They know people use their hills when it snows and I hear they are prepared.

I've gone to the park near Fresh Pond a few times in the past. It has a killer hill.

it's nowhere near Davis, but Peter's Hill in the Arnold Arboretum is quite popular. This is the hill in the back part of the Arboretum, the hill without trees.

Also try Robbins Farm park in Arlington.
