Dec. 11th, 2005 12:55 pmCut with the very polite, considerate and friendly advice of someone on the community. Thanks for your insight!
The short version: I am in need of a space in which to shoot a film.
The Ballad of Burd Janet is seeking a location for a late January-early February shoot. (We have some flexibility with dates, but it should ideally take place on a weekend between 28 January and 26 February.)
The scene takes place in a maids' quarters. I'm looking for a room that looks like an old dormitory or military barracks -- a long room with beds lined up along the sides of the wall, with some windows along one side. (A less ornate version of the Hogwarts dorms in the Harry Potter movies would hit the spot.) Wood or wallpapered walls, no obviously concrete walls, etc. We don't necessarily need beds, but if the room has beds, so be it.
While the production has taken place in historic places in Medford, we would not necessarily need a historic location for this shoot. The location should be in the greater Boston area (Medford, Arlington, Somerville, Cambridge, etc), preferably in a ground floor location. We will need a location with electricity (we have a lighting kit and will be shooting during the coldest time of the year), as well as running water. Our cast and crew will be about 15 people. [Information about budgets and insurance: gone! poof!]
If you know of anything, please send it our way by responding to this post or emailing ogygia.ave AT gmail DOT com. I'd like to get stuff rolling ASAP.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
