I'm looking for someone to help me apply thermal grease to my processor. Is that you?

I've never worked with thermal grease before, and I need to replace my processor fan and heatsink. I have the necessary parts (and the compound), but I don't want to screw up my processor not having the experience.

Maybe you could come by my place where I have everything and I can buy you a coffee or a pizza or something?

Thanks!

Uhm... all you really have to do is just squeeze a few dabs on the contact area, and smoosh it around with the heatsink. The only thing you need to know is don't touch it with your hands, the oils on your skin will damage it. Ideally you're looking for an even coat of the contact area. It's really not that big of a deal.

also, scrape off the old grease/pad first, and clean with rubbing alcohol.

and never get any on the board, because it can cause a short.
