parking meters

The parking meters are going back to 25 cents per half hour.

On the semi-downside, off-street parking lots will now be metered until 8pm.

Apparently the change will happen on a meter by meter basis and be finished by July 1st. And the one hour meters on Broadway will be recalibrated to two hours. The link above has all the news, including that of prepaid meter cards if you don't have quarters on hand.

I bet that meters-after-6 thing is gonna trip people up. People are used to assuming meters stop at 6pm, and people who know the area already know all the meters here stop at 6pm. I hope they put up good, obvious signs.
