It looks as though they're finally doing some work to the closed Quick Mart on the corner of Highland Avenue and Cedar Street up by O2 Yoga and Cafe Rossini. Does anybody know what they'll be putting in there? A new Quick Mart would be great! =)

No idea what they'll do with it, but the fact that something's happening is nice. It's been closed a long time now -- and even when it was open, I always had this odd compulsion to put up a sheet spray-painted "I ASSURE YOU WE'RE OPEN" over the shuttered windows.

Yeah, but back when I lived on Highland, the occasional late night pint o' ben and jerry's from there saved my life. Of course, not *very* late night...

Never went in there. From the outside, I thought all they sold was cigarettes!
