permit woes
Feb. 19th, 2006 01:55 pmDoes anyone know if there's somewhere I can park my car without a permit for a day or two? I live on Irving Street. My temporary permit expires on Monday. The paperwork I needed from the RMV to get a real permit arrived on Friday, well after the Parking Permit office closed at 12; I don't know if they're open Monday; and Tuesday I'm out of the area from 7:45am to 7:45pm. If it's not open Monday, the earliest I can get there is Wednesday at 9, which means I'm permitless for at least one full day.

Date: 2006-02-19 07:09 pm (UTC)It looks like a friend will let me park on her street and use her guest permit for a day or two (I've already been ticketed for using mine). So I think that will take care of it.

(I'm not sure if using a different guest permit will help much, though?)

Date: 2006-02-19 08:56 pm (UTC)There are some occasional stretches of main streets that are posted for permit parking only (like College Ave between Powderhouse Circle and the branch library).
However, near Irving Street, I'm fairly sure that that both Broadway and Powderhouse Boulevard are not posted for permit parking.
(I was just over there half an hour ago, and can't remember the signage...*sigh*)
