Alex Pizza opens tomorrow

When I walked by Alex Pizza a couple hours ago, a lady was working inside, so I went in and talked to her. She said they will open for business tomorrow morning at 11. Also, she named the place after her grand-daughter.

On weekdays they will be open from 11 am to 10 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, they will open at 6 am (!) and serve breakfast.

Alex Pizza is in the former Out of the Blue space, at 382 Highland Avenue, two short blocks east of Davis Square.

Any idea what kind of pizza?

Having been there (needed an afternoon snack, and figured I might as well), it's what I've heard referred to as "Greek Style" pizza. Somewhat thick crust, kinda crispy - overall similar to Cristos' in general, though I thought the cheese was a little less flavorful and the sauce a little more complex than Cristos'. At first I thought the sauce was a little too sweet, but then some of the herbs (probably mostly oregano, but I'm not sure) kicked in, and it was tasty. Definitely worth a taste if you like that sort.

Menu looks decent overall, though a little less vegetarian fare than I'd hoped for. Some wraps that look tasty, though.
