WOO! APARTMENT! YAY!
Apr. 4th, 2006 07:45 amSo I have a problem. The problem is I have an amazing apartment, and
my roommate is moving out May 1st, which means I need a new roommate
to move in and sign the lease with me ASAP. My apartment is very
awesome. and I am very awesome. And if you are looking for a fun
roommate who won't be in your face all the time, I'm it!
Apartment info:
The apartment is on Lowell st in Somerville, right off of Medford st.
it's 15 min walk from Davis T stop and a 10 minute bus ride from the
Lechmere T stop (so that's red and green line access!)
it's two bedrooms, the one open is slightly smaller than mine, but
still of good size. I'll measure it eventually.
heat and hot water are included, electricity is not but it's never much
I have digital cable and wireless internet. that's about $200 per
month, split into $100 each. but if you're really against stuff, I could either pay
more for the cable part or downgrade our digital package. it's not super important
as long as I have food network and cartoon network.
everything is clean and works great, including the food disposal and
dishwasher, and there is an a/c and it doesn't cost too much electricity
to run it in the summer
the bathroom has a great bathtub and excellent water pressure
Rent is $575 per person with a tiny posibility of it going up to $600
starting may 1st.
it's fully furnished with brightly colored things! yay!
There is a parking spot that we get for free. right now it's just used
when friends come over but if you have a car, you can park there.

About me:
I am 22 years old and currently working towards getting into grad school. I have a BFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College. I am a funky human with pink hair and I enjoy anime and videogames and Shakespeare. On the weekends I work at the Rocky Horror Picture Show in Harvard Square as part of the Full Body Cast
I keep pretty stable hours. I am very quiet when others are sleeping,
and I never bring random people over during times that it would be a
problem. I have a pretty regular cast of characters that would be here
with me at any given time, so that's not a problem.
While I'm a huge mess in my room (and soon I probably won't be!), it really doesn't spill over to the livingroom and other areas.
About you:
you should be fun and outgoing and not just looking for crash space
you should be a person respectful of other's personal space and the need for quiet during sleepy-times (this is why former roommate is leaving!)
you pay rent and utilities on time
you are open minded and not a super neat-freak. This apartment is not "messy" but it isn't "super organized" either
GLBT very welcome!
Apt (and personal) rules:
this isn't a party apartment. so if you're looking for a huge group hangout
space, this isn't it.
I don't drink, I'd prefer if you don't either. a glass of wine with dinner doesn't count, but I really don't
think we'd hit it off if you're the type to get hammered all the time
no drug use. at all. I cannot emphasize this enough. drug use is what the kids call a "deal-breaker"
no smoking. ever. (apartment building rules, not mine, but I'm not a smoker anyway)
no pets.
