I just created a new LJ Community for local artist discussion. It's
somerbridgviart, the Somerville-Cambridge Visual Arts Discussion group. Come join and discuss your preparations for Open Studios or any other visual-art-related topic.

I'm glad these two events are no longer scheduled for the same weekend, as they sometimes have been in the past. Somerville Open Studios has become a huge sprawling event, no longer possible to visit in its entirety.
In recent years, 11 Miller Street has held its own separate open studios event, on a Friday evening in April. Here is last year's announcement, and here's one from 2004. I don't know if they plan to continue this year.
no Miller Street open studios this year

I think that's it for the spring. Most other open studio events are in the fall, ending with Brickbottom in mid-November. The Boston Open Studios Coalition still has a 2005 schedule posted.
