Cool, thanks! We needed something like that (if it exists, I don't know it, at least). Will it be a place to announce open studio schedules of local communities? Doesn't Somerville have one coming up soon?

North Cambridge (NoCa) Open Studios, April 29-30
Somerville Open Studios, May 6-7 (including Vernon Street Open Studios)

I'm glad these two events are no longer scheduled for the same weekend, as they sometimes have been in the past. Somerville Open Studios has become a huge sprawling event, no longer possible to visit in its entirety.

In recent years, 11 Miller Street has held its own separate open studios event, on a Friday evening in April. Here is last year's announcement, and here's one from 2004. I don't know if they plan to continue this year.

I e-mailed Karen Aqua to ask about Miller Street open studios, and got this reply from her:

"No, Miller Street will not be doing its usual open studios this year. Instead, some of the artists will be participating in SOS. (I won't be able to, as I am going out of town then.) Thanks for asking."

One more in our general area -- unfortunately the same weekend as NoCa:

West Medford Open Studios, April 29-30

I think that's it for the spring. Most other open studio events are in the fall, ending with Brickbottom in mid-November. The Boston Open Studios Coalition still has a 2005 schedule posted.
