Porter Square Vet-Price ?

Hi everyone! Happy Spring. I remember back in October a number of you gave rave reviews of the folks at Porter Square Vet. One of our beloved cats has developed a large mass in the back of his neck and needs to be seen. I am wondering if any of you can give me an idea of how much an exam appointment generally runs without tests or special procedures? Thanks so much!

I seriously doubt you'll get out of there having spent less than $75, and probably more than that. :/

However, I continue to be impressed with them. My kitten just got spayed there on Thursday and she's doing fantastically well.

I know that Cambridge Vet on Mass Ave between Porter and Harvard charges somewhere around $40 just to walk in the door and be seen. You won't get away without expensive tests and possibly a procedure if it's something that potentially serious. Best of luck!

You may already have your answer to this post by now, but I recently scheduled an appointment for my cat at Porter Sq. and they told me it's $49 for the visit alone.

We took our cat there before he died a few months ago. I was actually pretty surprised how fair their prices were, and how honest they were in their assessments of the little feller. I don't think you'll have a problem. We hired a travelling vet when it came time to put him to sleep, in our home - that was much more expensive than Porter.
