Nightmare on Elm Street?

Drove by Elm near the Central bank earlier today and Elm was blocked off from The Goodwill to @ Mike's. A bus was parked, a huge T tow truck was nearby and there were a bunch of Somerville Police with the yellow "Donut Crossing" tape. It looked offical and not good. Does anyone know what happened?

i think someone got hit by a bus. there was blood on the road and shopping bags about.

The Channel 5 news (http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/9199743/detail.html) said she was being treated for injuries consistant with dragging, and that the road was closed for accident investigators.

That's the second casualty this week. During Open Studios on Sunday, I was walking up Dover approaching the intersection with Holland and heard a thump, saw a car stop, and saw a bicyclist lying in the street, moaning and bleeding from a head wound. The driver did stick around, and there were people around to call 911 and tend to the victim, so my friend and I opted to get out of the way. Medical attention came quickly, thankfully.

I heard him asking the people around him, "Did I do something stupid?" Honestly, I have no idea if he did. It might have been him, or it might have been the motorist. Thing is, I see people doing stupid things in Davis Square all the damned time, regardless of their preferred mode of conveyance. It's a dangerous intersection, folks. Be careful out there and don't do stupid things.
