Need a summer sublet you can move into today? Check behind the cut.

I really really dislike the process of screening new roommates, but you're going to make my life fantastic, right? Because you are fantastic. You want a roommate who will make you brownies when you come visit. E.g., me.

Imagine a clean and spacious 2 Bedroom apartment with a lot of natural light on the first floor of an apartment complex building right over the Cambridge/Somerville line. Imagine how amazing it is to know that it exists. Rent is 625, which includes some utilities.

The 9x13 bedroom is available NOW. My roommate just Mop n Glo'ed his now empty bedroom's hardwood floors, so if your lease is up 5/31 and you need a place to sleep tomorrow night, I'm your man. You will be subletting until 9/1 - If you would like to stay past 9/1 you would need to sign a 9 month lease at that time. The apartment normally has a year lease that starts 6/1 but I'm probably moving somewhere 9/1 so I'm subletting my roommate's room out month to month until then.

Check out the following:

* Heat and Hot water included - Fantastic shower pressure, and you can crank it up HOT.

* Closets? HECK YEAH WE GOT CLOSETS!

* Location? 1 Oak Terrace. Cross street, walk for 6 minutes, cross street: Wham, PORTER SQUARE T STOP.

* Laundry? One flight of stairs down to the basement to 2 washers, 2 dryers. Coin op. Big laundromat across street, & Drycleaners.

* Parking? If you've got Mass. plates, a Somerville permit is only 10$ for the whole year. Parking is *NEVER* a problem unlike some of those other towns nearby. If you've got out of state plates or want to have your car a little bit more protected, theres spaces available in the lot behind the building for 75/mo.

* Floors? They're hardwood, except for the kitchen and bathroom. It is a shame to cover them up with carpeting, they're so pretty.

* Busses? Davis Square and Lechmere are just 90 cents away because the 87 bus is a 30 second walk.

* Access to three FOUR supermarkets (Shaw's, Star Market, Market Basket & GOL brazilian market)

* Starbucks, Subway (sandwiches) and Gas station are directly across the street, not to mention the laundry place.

* Porter, Harvard, Davis and Union Squares are a very short, very scenic walk away. Ideal location if you've got a bike, too. MIT is a bit of a hike (2.5 miles) if you're one of those people.

* Landlords? They're sane. Outside management company, located next door. Problems get fixed quickly. E.g., once, the broiler stopped working, and we had a guy with major plumber's crack in the kitchen not 12 hours later.

* Internet? Yes, of COURSE we have INTERNET - THIS IS BOSTON. And it is WIRELESS.

The apartment has a somewhat furnished kitchen (incl. pots/pans/utensils, etc). Still without a microwave, sadly.

The frickin awesome leaving roommate just hauled away most of the living room to his girlfriend's place, so there is room for your 'stuff' as needed. However, if you come with no furniture, I'll be buying some. Tis the season for furniture bargains.

The available 9x14 bedroom is astonishingly rectangular, with cable and internet drops. 3 prong electrical outlets on each wall, and huge dual closets!

The roommate (me) staying in the apartment is a 25 year old IT professional working in Boston. I enjoy cooking, scrabble, kayaking, writing, and watching media. I like clean bathrooms, sinks empty of dishes, and playing Bubble Bobble. I put off updating this post because I'm trying to get my bike back into shape after leaving it out all winter (I know, I know). MBTI is INTP.

I am a responsible, quiet and tidy roommate, looking for the same - preferably a graduate student or working professional. I write amazing emails but don't get drunk every night. Having a sense of humor and mild internet addiction is a plus. BoingBoing readers, Firefly fans, chefs, librarians, geeks, Jamaica Plain refugees and eccentrics are encouraged to apply. No cats/dogs, no indoor smoking, no supercrazy hours.

I've lived here for a year and truly enjoy the apartment - I enjoy cooking and will feed you from time to time. Heck, if you're awesome I'll even consider signing a lease and staying on past September.

If this sounds like a good match, drop me a line. Here are the details on the lease and contractual things.

You would be signing a month to month lease - I am planning on moving out by 9/1, but you're certainly welcome to stay on longer. Again, if you're looking to move in 9/1, or want some place to stay until December, this is not the place for you. A 9 month lease needs to happen if you want to stay past 9/1.

best,
