I am a young female professional (24 years old, works in education). I am one of those save the world types. I am honest, quiet (a lot of my previous roommates have often not known I was even there when I get lost in my writing etc.) peaceful and shy but also charismatic, compassionate and empathetic. I am pretty quirky and eccentric.

I love music of all kinds. I love to dance. I paint and am also very into photography. I write a lot of poetry and non-fiction pieces and am very into slam poetry and performance art. I love outdoor activities like camping, boating, hiking, gardening etc. I am into yoga and meditation. I love to travel.

I am not a wicked party person. I don't have a ton of people in and out of the house constantly. I tend to keep to go out a lot and keep to myself a lot of the time but I can be social, have good communication skills (read this as: no nasty notes left on the fridge) and would like to be friendly with my roommate(s).

I am not a neat freak, but also not a slob. My room can be disorganized at times but I always keep the common areas neat and I am good about doing household chores etc.

I do not have any pets but I am very pet friendly.

I don't smoke, do drugs or drink.

Most important to note:

I am looking for a GLBT/queer friendly household. I have an awful time with this and it's a must since I am gay. I would prefer to live with females, gay men or transgender people of either gender. No offense to the straight guys.

I am also seeking a child friendly home as I also am the single parent to an intelligent and charming 4 year old. You would not have to see my child that often, just as you probably wouldn't see me that often as we both lead busy lives and my child also spends a good amount of time visiting with my family as well but it's just something to be made aware of.

The rent cannot exceed $675 a month, although I'd love to find cheaper. I am looking to live in Somerville in or around Davis Square (Ball, Porter, Teele, Powderhouse and Union are also good).
Must be MBTA accessible.
I do not own a car.

Things like a back yard, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer would all be lovely but are not necessary.

I am looking for July 1st.

We have a room open near Teele from July 1 - August 1, but it's only a sublet. If you can't find anything you like by then, it could buy you some time to look around, anyway... rent's $625,
