Dorkbots/Boston (mmm...Somerville)

So a group of artists and other "people doing strange things with electricity" are starting a Boston chapter of dorkbots (http://dorkbot.org/). It's short notice but we have a first meeting coming up this week. There will be monthly meetings (see below for details) so if you (or anyone you know) are interested, come on by or write for more details.


What is Dorkbots?

A monthly meeting of artists (sound/image/movement/whatever), designers,
engineers, students, and other interested parties from the Boston area who
are involved in the creation of electronic art (in the broadest sense of the
term).

Meetings are always free of charge.

Purpose:
-Give artists/ programmers/ engineers an opportunity for informal peer
review.

-establish a forum for the presentation of new artworks/ technology/
software/ hardware.

-help establish relationships and foster collaboration between people with
various backgrounds and interests.

- give us all a chance to see cool things that our neighbors are working on.

The next dorkbot meeting will be on July 6th from 7-8:30pm at Willoughby and
Baltic in Davis Square (www.willoughbybaltic.com). The space is located
behind Benjapon's restaurant at 195g Elm Street, Somerville).

Following meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of every month from
7-8:30.
