Pops on TV?

So I'm wanting to stay the hell away from the Esplanade tonight, but would like to see the Pops concert on tv. However, I have no cable.

Is there anywhere in the general Boston area that's T-accessible and will be playing the whole thing on tv?

Do you mean no TV at all? Because Channel 4 will be broadcasting the whole thing starting at 8pm, and you should be able to get Channel 4 with a regular antenna.

When I was a kid, my family would go to watch the fireworks on the cambridge side, like near harvard or kendall square. We would bring a radio to listen to the music. :) It was always fun for us kids to watch the fireworks a split second before we could hear them on the radio. Much less crowded and you actually have a better view of the fireworks because the view isn't obscured by trees.

Another place we would go, because we lived on that side of the city, was on top of Adams hill in Milton, which has perfect views of the fireworks, tho it's farther away.

The last several years they've had speakers on the Cambridge side of the river just like the Boston side.

And they've sometimes had TVs, too. Don't know if they have them this year.
