Summary is that several streets remain closed; a transformer fire occured in Davis Square; and Curatone is contacting the National Weather Service whether a tornado hit.

Tornado, huh? That might explain all the branches and trees down. Let me know if you hear more on that.

Transformer fire was on Chester Street, just south of Redbones. A lot of tree damage there, too.

I didn't see the news, but I did see the aftermath taking the 96 bus. Several streets were closed off, and almost every street on the way had emergency vehicles due to some huge branches (or trees, in some cases) coming down in the road.

I was wondering what had happened myself, as it seemed an awful lot of damage for a simple rainstorm, or at least that's what it looked like from Boston. Hell, I've seen hurricanes not do quite so much damage.
