Anybody get a telephone survey about smoke detectors?

Did anybody else get a telephone survey asking how many smoke detectors you have, do you have fire extinguishers, that sort of thing?

And, any idea who commissioned the survey? the city? an insurance company?

They did ask about alarms, so i'm asking around to make sure it really is a survey.

I'd call the police and FD just to be sure.

Also, on surveys, if you WANT to participate, ask them for a call back number at which you can do so.
