I've tried Mario's (perfect dye job, as in icon; but weird experience with the stylist, who didn't communicate well and cut my hair differently from how I wanted it -- Mario's has almost universally good reviews, but I think it must be best if you go in with a specific stylist's name to ask for) and Salon Femia, where they were super nice and fixed the cut to back what it was before Mario's. Ironically, THEY made a rather spectacular coloring error, but I actually *really* don't think it was due to carelessness or incompetence on their part, it was just a weird chemical reaction with a previous dye that must have been hard to predict. And they were extremely distressed at having made the mistake, fixed it at no extra charge of course and even gave me a discount. I'd go back.
why not get them ALL cut? it's the same price.
