I need to find a hairstylist (and possibly a makeup artist) for my wedding September 23, 2006.
I haven't ever been to a real hairstylist since I've been in Boston.

Can anyone recommend someone good?
It will be 3 long-haired women (mid-back to waist) and one woman with shoulder-length hair who need hairstyling.

Ben at the Frances Ray Jules salon (which has a location in Somerville's World Gym) was excellent when I went to him. Very nice guy, too. My hair's about mid-back length, fwiw.

I would recommend Daniella from Salon Femia, which is on Elm street near Johnny's D. She is the best stylist and make up person from all her sisters. She makes everyone look glamorous.

She is the only hair dresser in Boston who hasn't given me a conventional look/cut and made me depressed about it (that includes her sisters).

I really like Rachel @ Marios Salon. She is SO friendly, she has a ton of wedding hair experience AND if you talk to her on the side she will do it for cheaper if you do it outside the salon :)

I go to Salon Luna in Porter Square, right above the Bruegger's Bagels, I see Mathew, and I love him, but I'm sure you could do just as well with anyone else there; everything I've heard is positive.
