The Swan Stage Company is seeking a lighting director and sound director for the August 14-24 production of "Othello" at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, MA.

Interested applicants should have experience in working in the capacity as either a lighting director/operator or a sound director/operator in the theatre or music sector.

You must be available for evening work on the dates listed, and must have access to transportation (public or personal) to Arlington.

Please send resumes, makeshift or otherwise, to Anderson@swanstage.com

Note: As we are a start-up Company, this is an unpaid internship; however, we are amenable to issuing a few complimentary tickets to the performances, writing letters of reference to graduate schools or prospective employers on your behalf, etc..

Ummm...With opening night a week away, isn't it a tad late to be looking for these people? You're probably in Hell Week already, and I would have expected sound and lighting to be designed much earlier. (I don't mean to sound snide, though, and I hope this isn't a last-minute emergency because your previous techies backed out on you.)

If the Regent has existing house lights, you can hope that they're similar to Reid's "Square One" rig in "The Stage Lighting Handbook" (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/087830147X/qid=1060173671/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/103-0165335-6838232?v=glance&s=books) and work from there. Or you could do something really avantguarde and have cast members all carry flashlights and shine them at themselves and each other.
