Twelve years in Massachusetts and I have yet to see a single Concord Grape for sale at any grocery store or farm stand. Has anyone seen them locally at a store or outdoor market? Where I do see them is on people's carport arbors in the neighborhood (and boy, do I wish I had one). If you're growing them, I'd gladly pay top dollar for a pound or two. I haven't had them in eons...

Don't know about Davis, but I've seen them for sale at the fruit stand on the corner of Washington and Summer in downtown Boston...Lambert's, I think it is.

I've also seen them at Harvest Co-Op in Central Square, though they were a bit squished when I saw them there recently.

Aren't they amazing? I'm addicted to them, but they're seasonal, so I can only have them a few times a year. *sigh*

They have them at Trader Joe's in Cambridge, and a little closer to Davis, they've had them at Pemberton Market for a couple weeks.

Yes, I just saw them at Pemberton a couple of days ago. They awed me with their dark purpleness. But I was also busy being awestruck because I'd never been in Pemberton's before and two of the luxury splurge groceries I love best are exotic condiments and strange chocolates, which appear to compromise at least two thirds of Pemberton's inventory.

You've probably sorted this out by now, but they're open until 9PM on weeknights.

I recently started shopping at Market basket and (as a huge mega-supermarket phobe) have been impressed at both their produce section and the absence of megaplex stupidity of a place like Shaw's (nee Star Market). It's just hungry, diverse folks.

I like Pemberton's but the last few times I've been there their produce was tired from too many late nights and spritzes

I can confirm sighting at the somerville ave market basket, a good sized plastic box for 2.99, and they're DELICIOUS. It has been...10 years since I had one...straight from the vine at my parents' old house. Zounds.

I got some at Whole Foods at Fresh Pond a couple of days ago. They aren't quite as delicious as I remember last year's Concords being, but I don't know if that's them or me.

go for a bike ride up the path outbound towards 128/95, i know there's bunches overhanging the path growing wild (as are muscadines). stop when you smell grape. you probably know what i mean :)

between those two varieties, i've picked over 25 lbs this season just ... here and there. it's a very good year for grapes it seems. can't help but trip over them.

Russo's has them often. I think I even got a package of seedless ones once.
