I need some LJ tips

I'm a totally pedestrian LJ user. I was trying today to find out if it is ok to put a mattress and box spring out on the street on trash day or if there was a special day or what. I remembered someone mentioning that this community has a memories section or favorites of useful stuff and recurring questions.

But I can't figure out how to get to it. I'd be very grateful for a little technical assistance.

I just went to check out the memories, but it looks like there aren't any. Ordinarily, they're listed on the community profile page. Or you can click on the little heart in the bar near the top of the profile page to see them. But there don't appear to be any there. Maybe I'm crazy, but that's what it looks like to me.

Mattress disposal

I am new to LiveJournal, too, but I know the answer to your question!

According to the City of Somerville website, you just put the mattress on the curb with your trash. I did this last week and lo and behold, they took it away.
