Businesses in Davis

Hi group, I'm thinking of starting a business in Davis, something possibly with a store front, and am trying to come up with some ideas. What do you think is sorely lacking in Davis?

Pemberton Farms is the market/plant store on mass Ave.

Pemberton Market is the quick-market/liquor store at the corner of Mass Ave and Ringe.

In an earlier entry about the plans to demolish and rebuild the latter, someone said that they're owned by the same family.

But yeah. Unfortunately, Pemberton Farms is quite pricey, making the walk to Whole Foods or the schlep to Trader Joe's well worth it. I'd love to see an organic/natural foods store in or near Davis Square, but not so much if I can't afford to shop there....

"The same family" isn't quite accurate. As I understand it, both Pembertons are operated by the same team of two brothers. They own Pemberton Farms, but not Pemberton Market. Pemberton Market (and the building it is in) are owned by a not-very-close relative of theirs, and it's not a particularly familial relationship.
