Advance warning: The Red Line will be replaced with shuttle buses this weekend between Kendall Square and Park Street. I think it's to facilitate construction of the new Charles station.

If the schedule works for you, consider instead taking the commuter train between Porter Square and North Station.

Yes, those shuttle buses are a pain but, if you ever needed to go to Mass General in a wheelchair or with a baby stroller, you would be very excited about the Charles station FINALLY being updated!

Does a Subway Pass suffice for taking the Commuter Rail between subway connections?

Yes, a Subway Pass is good for all travel from Boston to Zones 1A and 1B. These zones include Porter Square, West Medford, Malden, Chelsea, and a bunch of other stations on the south-side system that I don't remember right now.

I have three halloween parties on saturday night to bounce around. I can't imagine that being too unique.

I'm just sayin, it's likely most people will be out and about saturday night, at least more so than usual. It might not be a big deal in general, but it's an irritant for me :)

No, this weekend in Boston is a HUGE weekend for Halloween this year. A lot more people are into it and there's a MILLION shows and events going on Saturday night and Sunday.
