Hi everyone!
I just recently moved to the area, and I have a friend visiting tonight. What fun stuff is there to do in Davis Square? Any good halloween events going on? Or, just good fun bars? How about the best place to sit and have a good cup of coffee? Thanks so much :)

Davis is awesome for checking our the Diesel, the Burren, Redbones, but especially local spooky theater! This is going on tonight, not to be missed! (and yes, I'm in it, doing 'Maid's Bell' and the special effects for "Fibber." )

OMG, yes, Redbones. Best beer selection in the square.

Diesel Cafe has a good cup of coffee in a funky, artsy setting. I don't really tend to go to bars in Davis, but there are plenty of restaurants, and many of them have bars. If you want a nice martini in a reasonably swanky restaurant, Gargoyle's is excellent. The Burren is a decent Irish bar, but in my experience their table service sucks. Diva has good Indian food.

Namaskar (a few doors down from Diva) is also really good Indian food.

Read the Somerville theater marquee regularly :). Johnny D's has lots of live music. If you're toward the Ball Square side of things, True Grounds has fantastic coffee (much as I like the Diesel, True Grounds has the best espresso in town as far as I'm concerned) but their hours suck.

Just explore and go into stores and try out restaurants :). It's a fun place. There's lots to do.
