Free fresh hops for the picking!

Hey, homebrewers!

My hops vine is in full blossom, and it's outlived my interest in the hobby! Anybody want all the free, fresh, hops they can pick? It's either Cascade or Willamette variety. One thrived, the other died off, and I don't know which one made it.

I'm a five-minute walk from Davis Square. I'll provide the ladder. You pick 'em and take 'em home.

are hops used for anything other than brewing? can you eat them? cook with them? make necklaces for children?

Not really. I think I've heard of people making aromatic pillows with them, but beermaking is by far the most common use. Here are some pictures. (http://www.hopunion.com/pics.html)

Yeah, the aromatic pillows represent the only other use I've heard, but it's a good one... from what I've heard, the soporific qualities of the hops help combat insomnia and restless sleep.
