... is almost open -- they were laying asphalt this morning.

In fact, because I had to move my car so that the road-construction equipment could get into position, I got to drive over it because it was the only practical way to get out. So I may have been the first "unofficial" vehicle over it. :-)

I don't know if they're going to have a ribbon-cutting ceremony or anything -- I expect I'll just come home one of these days and there won't be any barriers up. (You can already walk across it as of Friday.)

I doubt this will be an occasion for politicians and ribbon-cutting, given that it's only been closed for a year or so, and it's a small one-way residential street.
