Sycamore Street Bridge

Official word from City Hall: The Sycamore Street Bridge will have a ribbon cuttint to officially open it on Friday, December 15th.

As one who lives in front of it, I'm thrilled to have the construction crews going home!

what time? I showed up on my bike at the Lowell Street ribbon cutting; I may as well go to this one, too.

Not sure on the time, unfortunately. Probably in the morning around 10 or 11, but I'll wager someone in the Highway Department could tell you.

thank goodness. they paved my driveway yesterday. i can't tell you the number of tickets i've gotten because i haven't been able to use my driveway for last couple of months.

You might be able to get those dismissed if you argue that they resulted from construction crews blocking access to your own driveway.

I called the Mayor's office, and got this e-mail back from his public information officer, Maeghan Silverberg:

"The Sycamore Street Bridge will be opening tomorrow at noon . We've alerted the local media and I'll be flyering the neighborhood this afternoon.

Also as an FYI Willoughby Street will return to a two-way street upon
opening of the bridge."
